The UGC advisory explicitly advises the public not to take admission in the institution, emphasising that any degrees or certificates issued by it hold no legal recognition.
This alert comes a month after the UGC released its updated list of 32 fake universities across 12 states in February 2026. The Rajeev Gandhi Institute of Technology & Management, Rajasthan, has been added to that comprehensive list.
The UGC has repeatedly warned that degrees from these fake universities are invalid and will not be accepted for government jobs, further studies, or any official purposes. Students have been urged to verify the recognition status of any university on the official UGC website before taking admission.
